Having a professional entertainer, especially at a child's birthday party, ensures YOU do not have to work so hard! Let ME occupy the kids so you can enjoy the event yourself. The show allows everyone, including adults, to relax and enjoy a laugh or two! Face painting and balloon twisting and glitter tattoos are always a hit as well!
About ME!
Who is Maggie?
In "real life" I am Nicole Portwood. I'm married and have two awesome kids. I clown full time on weekends and during the week I am an EMT and substitute teacher! My clowning career began at the age of 17. Working one summer as a clown at a local amusement park, my mind was made up. I attended the prestigious Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and subsequently spent 4 years traveling with the Greatest Show On Earth. I have traveled nationally and internationally doing what I love most--making people smile and laugh. Creating memorable experiences for people at special events is what I do best. I am always striving to make my shows new and different and challenge myself yearly to take on new skills! Whether it is learning how to play ukulele or spinning a cane, you never

Meet and Greet
Strolling Entertainer:
May include stilts, juggling, pocket magic, funny bike, and/or general silly antics. Basically, entertaining the crowds and lines!
Face Painting OR Balloon Twisting Only:
Hourly Rates: $150 1st hour, $100 2nd hour, $50 for each additional hour.
Instruction
I am an instructor of clown arts and can be hired hourly as you would hire a music teacher or personal coach! I can teach at after school programs, recreation centers, seminars, clown conventions, camps, Boy Scouts/Girls Scouts, Senior Centers, Libraries or one-on-one personal tutoring. You choose the subject(s) from my list! My most popular course is balloon twisting! The educational arm of my company is called Bay State Clown Arts.
Rate: $50/hour
(Add'l fee for weekends)
Red Nose Reader Program
This learning opportunity for children promotes literacy and anti-bullying by inviting a Red Nose Reader (me!) to your classroom or library. I will transform before your eyes into a friendly clown and read a story, share a few tricks, and end with a question and answer time. All this, while making a positive connection sharing joy, laughter and fun with a real clown.

Special requirements are needed so call to discuss! He knows over 40 tricks and will astonish you with his antics!
